Night.

Hello nighttime. The time to rest my eyes and re-energize my body. Sorry. It seems I’m as restless as the city lights shining in to the sky. I can’t even see your stars that you put out for everyone to view.

One day, I promise, I’ll go to sleep under all your brilliant lights. All around me it will only be lit up by the spotlights in the sky.

Hello moon. Welcome back. The brightest light in the sky. Smiling down among the world. Reflecting your beauty down the ripples of any body of water you can find. From the vast oceans, to the puddle left by the rain.

Good night nighttime,

By the time I wake tomorrow, you will have already moved on to light up the stage for another part of the world. I will have to wait again for the light show to return. Earning my free ticket to see the show by making it through another day.

Good night moon,

You too will begin your trip to the other side of the world to smile down on the other people of this world. I will get through another day thinking about getting to see you against the water again, lighting up the whole sky.
